BluewaterU Offers Live Virtual Classes for Underwater Photography

Photography News

When you think online photography education, underwater photography probably isn’t the first niche that pops into your mind. But that’s what the newly launched Bluewater University is focused on — it offers live virtual instruction for all things underwater.

A joint-venture of Bluewater Photo, Bluewater Travel and the Underwater Photography Guide, Bluewater University (BluewaterU for short) is a new portal “completely devoted to ocean, photo, post processing, marine biology, and travel education.”

“We want to provide a platform to keep people excited about diving, travel, photography & video,” says BluewaterU founder Scott Gietler.

The underwater photography instructors at BluewaterU have combined decades of experience, and courses range from introductory subjects to advanced topics.

Examples of courses already available on the platform include Introduction to Underwater Photography, Wide Angle Underwater Photography, Super Macro Underwater Photography, Strobe Positioning 101, and Shooting Reefscapes and Wide Angle.

Classes and seminars are usually one hour long and are available at various times throughout the week. There’s also a mix of paid and free classes.

Signing up for BluewaterU is free. Head on over to the website if you’d like to check it out and possibly jump into the world of underwater photography.
